HolePatrol

HolePatrol was born as a project idea for the course of Embedded and Edge AI, we were committed to deliver a project that could exploit at maximum the capabilities of low-power and low-cost devices. Looking at the way municipalities handle road surface problems, we noticed that maintenance on a road is done only when the road condition causes damage to a vehicle. With further study we noticed that both insurance companies and logistic transportation companies can be interested as well. To develop a project like this we needed a simulator for data collection and later for testing, therefore we asked to one of the leader in the sector, BeamNG, that after we explained our project, provided us an academic license of their simulator, BeamNG.tech.
